If you've shipped AI implementations, given AI advice, trained teams, or mentored and interviewed people in IT, you can take hourly bookings at JR Academy. You set the rate and the slots; learners arrive with their problem already written down.
You only need to make the hour count
AI orders include the learner's description and AI diagnosis: steps, estimated hours, where they're stuck.
Open availability as time ranges; they are split into 30-minute slots, so new clients can start with half an hour or book several in a row.
Paid orders go into your ledger; a monthly statement moves from pending → confirmed → paid.
Your profile appears in the expert list and AI diagnosis recommendations. No booking volume is promised.
What learners pay and what you keep
Order amount = booked duration × your hourly rate. The platform deducts a service fee and payment fee per order; the rest is yours. The calculator below uses the same rules as the back office.

How experts are vetted
- Our team reviews each application by hand, looking at real projects delivered rather than titles
- AI experts must provide at least one implementation case study (anonymised is fine)
- After each session learners can rate and review it; reviews appear on the expert's page
Bookings and refunds
- Billed by the slot you choose: a 30-minute slot is 0.5 hours, 1.5 hours is 1.5 × the hourly rate
- More than 1 hour before the session you can request cancellation in My bookings; it then goes to refund processing pending the expert's confirmation
- If the expert doesn't show up at the agreed time or the session clearly doesn't match, contact support; refunds are issued after we verify
- AI consulting, implementation and team training currently don't stack membership discounts

Expert FAQ
How much does the platform take?
Each order has a platform service fee and payment fee deducted; the current rates are shown in the expert dashboard and the calculator on this page. Membership discounts don't apply to AI services, so learners pay your listed rate.
When do I get paid?
Paid orders enter your earnings ledger. A statement for the previous month is generated monthly and paid after you confirm it.
What if a learner cancels?
Learners can request cancellation more than 1 hour before the session; it goes to refund processing after your confirmation. Self-service cancellation isn't available within 1 hour of the start.
I don't have an ABN / GST registration. Can I apply?
Yes, apply first. Learners pay exactly your listed hourly rate and the platform adds no tax on top. Add your ABN and whether you are registered for GST in your profile; the monthly statement shows gross earnings, platform fee, payment fee, net payout and those two details. Your own GST reporting stays with you.
Can I take only AI or only career bookings?
Yes. Just create services for the areas you want.
Can the platform guarantee bookings?
No. The platform shows your profile to learners who need it and handles payment and settlement; booking volume depends on your focus, rate, availability and reviews.
